Homeopathy exist about 250 years. It is based on the basic principle:“like cures like”. These principle of treatment were known to Hippocrates and Paracelsus – our fathers of medicine, but as a practical method of treatment it is developed by German physician Dr. Samuel Hahnemann (1755 – 1843), who was disappointed with the medicine of his time. At 1796 he was giving up his medical practice and start testing substances for the effect they produced on a healthy individual and tried to deduce from this the ills they would heal. So he developed homeopathy… Homeopathy is derived from the Greek words homoios which means similar, and pathos which means suffering.
Like energy-vibration medicine, homeopathy may be one of the most difficult areas for the Western allopathic physician to comprehend. Homeopathy includes several tenants and theories that are antithetical to Western thought.
Dr. Hahnemann also discovered a unique and easy way of preparing homeopathic remedies from unprocessed natural ingredients – substances drawn from nature like minerals, metals, plants and also animal and human disease products. This process, called potentization, is increasing their medicinal properties, and removes all the side effects. Homeopathy has no side effects – it is completely harmless. Direction of homeopathic cure (remedy) takes place between the soul, the thought/feeling and physical processes.
We say that homeopathy is both an art and a science, as the case taking requires artistic skills, while healing is scientifically.
Homeopathy can be divided into clinical and classical:
- clinical– deals with organs, organ systems, and body symptoms. It is suitable for acute conditions such as temperature, headaches, colic, toothache, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting, colds, PMS, menstrual difficulties, and similar. It can also be seen as a first aid kit.
- classical – takes into account the totality of symptoms – physical symptoms and emotional and mental state, so it heals the cause of disease, which is excellent for recovery from persistent and chronic diseases. Also has shown excellent results in solving serious emotional states.
Homeopathy incorporates the idea of vulnerability, which explains why one person is easily affected by an event when others similarly exposed are not. This vulnerability is often rooted in the family life history of the person and their parental conditioning, and this often explains the process.
Also, homeopathy has great understanding of trauma and disease. When overwhelming trauma happens, we are frozen, wholly or partially, at the age at which it occurs. We act as if we have not developed beyond the stage at which we were traumatized. Granted we still grow physically, but even the height to which we grow can be related to our traumas. Sometimes trauma is so strong and genetics so weak that even our growth is stunted. Normally what happens is partial freezing of our development. Some people pass from childhood to old age without ever becoming adult.
When we address the trauma with a homeopathic remedy, we bring it to the surface of our subconscious or semiconscious rerun. It becomes an action reply of the old situation with a difference, as if the fears and feelings of the trauma are re-experienced without the traumatic events. By bringing the trauma to the surface of our subconscious and rerunning it at a time when we can deal with it, we resolve it and unfreeze the person. He/she can finally grow up naturally for the first time or grow back to her old self if that was dented.
